image policy

This is a fairly simple and straight-forward image policy for the site. If you intend to use any of the images found on this site for your own personal use or for display on your web site, please read this policy in full. If you have a question that is not answered here or in the FAQ, please don't hesitate to contact me. The basic format for this image policy comes from Trinity. Thanks, Trin!

PERMISSION DENIED: Under absolutely no circumstances will I give permission for anyone to use my custom graphics. This includes images that are a part of the site layout, desktop wallpapers, icons and avatars. Using wallpapers, icons and avatars for your own personal use is fine (that's what they're there for after all) but not for your own web site.

PERMISSION NEEDED: You must ask permission if the image was taken from an outside source (with their permission) or if the image in question is fanart. In which case, you must contact the original owner and ask their permission first.

PERMISSION NOT NEEDED: You don't need to ask me to use any images such as black and white manga scans, screencaps, and other scans found in image galleries. However, I ask that you limit the amount of images you take if you plan on using them for display on your own web site. For screencaps, take no more than 15-20 images. For everything else, please limit yourself to 7-10 images. There is no limit to how many images you can use for your own custom graphics.

GIVING CREDIT: Any images that you take for display on your own web site, be it in a gallery or on wallpaper, please give me credit for scanning or capping said images. All I request is that you provide a link back to http://all-blue.org so others know where you got the images from.

UPLOAD TO YOUR OWN SITE: On a final note, if you take any images to display on your own site, please upload them to your own web site. You will not be able to link directly to my images since they are protected against such a thing, so be forewarned. Stealing bandwidth, hot-linking or direct linking is highly frowned upon in the web community so please don't do it.
